Royal London 360° has appointed Nadja McKenzie as its new Head of Sales – Africa.

South Africa based Nadja is no stranger to the offshore life company or its IFAs, having worked for Royal London 360° since 2008 as Business Development Manager in the Africa region. Nadja succeeds Neil Baskerville, who is leaving the company after more than 11 years to pursue other interests.

Nadja is a highly experienced financial services professional, with a career spanning more than 16 years in the industry within Africa. Prior to joining Royal London 360° she worked for Momentum Specialised Investments as Specialist Investment Consultant, and Momentum Distribution Services as Marketing Advisor/Broker Consultant. She has a comprehensive knowledge of both life and structured products, as well as investments and offshore funds.

In her new role as Head of Sales – Africa, she will be responsible selling Royal London 360°’s single premium portfolio bond, PIMS, its regular premium savings products Quantum and Paragon, its regular premium protection product, LifePlan, and its portfolio bonds marketed in partnership with Sygnia Life and ABSA. Nadja will lead a team of four in the region.

Royal London 360° will be looking to further recruit in Africa in the coming months to demonstrate its commitment to the region, including the expansion of its product range with a new portfolio bond which will launch soon and is expected to be incredibly popular with African investors. Recent recruitment drives have also taken place within the Middle and Far East to meet growing business needs in those markets.

Simon Pack, International Sales Director at Royal London 360°, commented: “I am delighted to promote Nadja McKenzie to the role of Head of Sales – Africa, and know she is more than capable of stepping into the large shoes being left by Neil Baskerville’s departure.

“I would like to thank Neil for his commitment to Royal London 360° over the last 11 years, and I wish him the best of luck for the future.”

Commenting on her appointment, Nadja McKenzie said: “Through my time with Royal London 360° so far, I have been exposed to very different markets and environments and I believe the relationships I have developed can only be enhanced as we move forward.

“I am ready to meet the challenges that come with being Head of Sales - Africa head on, the main one being that we are the provider of choice for IFAs and investors in this region. To achieve this, we need to have the correct people, product range and excellent levels of service. I am confident we have these, and am excited for the future.”

In her spare time Nadja, who is fluent in five languages, enjoys travel and outdoor pursuits, particularly spending time photographing wildlife within Africa’s game reserves.
